Most white women do not identify as feminist (http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/feminism-poll_n_3094917.html), there's only a 6% difference for men vs women identifying as feminist. Most white women vote conservative. And I'm less qualified to speak about Singaporean politics, but their TFR is 1.29 and from what I know, they are not nearly as progressive as the west. The biggest factor is that developed countries, regardless of ideology, have lower birthrates. The exception is most post communist countries have lower birthrates because people are educated, yet still too poor to be able to afford children.

Birth control didn't start taking the form of mass production fully until the late 1950s to early 1960s. That's not to talk about popularization of it as well as sexual education of the recent years.
Another reason could be the process of having children which was fairly alright at 19 back then but now it's not because everyone is pushed to pursue a career.
But none of that matters, because the behavior I'm talking about is unrelated to if you have a child or not at whatever age you decide. It's about how women behave when they go out, or when they flirt, or in a relationship. It's not something that'll be measured by statistics like these, but rather a societal thing.
