It's a love/hate relationship. There are great and terrible things about it. My impression is that the USA is Australia on steroids, everything is more extreme. The population size, the range of poverty and wealth, the crime, the commercialism, the cities, etc. I'd love to visit some day but I would never live/raise kids there.

I don't like the country itself because it's backwards as fuck despite being the leading Western nation.
