I feel like it's the epitome for western individualism. There are so many people all around the world who grow up watching American TV shows, who worship celebrity/Hollywood culture, and see it as the perfect existence (even though deep down we know that people there are just as miserable as the rest of us, if not more). Even though I'm a fairly mature/serious 23 year old, I still enjoy watching 90210, even though it's complete shite, because it takes me too that happy place where everyone is rich and beautiful. It's great escapism 2bh.

But there's few parts like that, and they're fairly expensive.
So that means most people have to spend hours a day travelling, or they don't have a good work life balance.
There's a few nice white enclaves, but they're surrounded by poor hispanics and blacks. The best middle class part of town is really asian.
