Yes.
>Also, how do you go to your school in your country?
When I was in school I took a bus like you posted.

You're welcome.

No, normal public buses, or just walk

School buses are rare and for the disadvantaged (disabled, etc)
>>
>>58189532
>rare
Clearly never been to the North West
>>
We have school buses but there's no uniform model or paint job.

This is what my school bus looked like.

>>
>>58189088
Not in my day, but at one point they did introduce school buses to get kids from villages to schools in town.
>>
>>58189725
It's not bait, everyone here has a bike and I used to cycle to school everyday
>>
Yes.

In buses like these

>>58189272

But generally in blue. They are just regular buses that have some hours to take the people to the school.
>>
>>58189088
private schools have like mini vans, but otherwise no

>Also, how do you go to your school in your country
commieblocks mean that every neighborhood has its own school within walking distance at least when it comes to elementary schools.
>>
>>58189725

Holy shit where'd you grow up?
>>
>>58189799
your country is very unique in that sense

biking here is a death wish, if you want to end up on the newspaper then go ahead
>>
>>58189088
Lived in Alaska as a kid. Was not going to gear up every morning and trudge through four feet of snow for 25 miles to go to school, so I took the bus. When I moved down to NC for high school I started biking since it was only 5 miles away.
>>
In portugal we have vimeca, that's is like those buses but for everyone ahah
>>
>>58189939
Do people drive in bike lanes like they do here?
>>
>>58189088
>Does your country have school buses like ours?
no, afaik only one private school has a special bus (probably because the kids there are so stupid they would get lost and die)
>Also, how do you go to your school in your country?
there are multiple schools in your region which are all within walking/cycling distance
if you don't go to a local school you take public transport (i did this from first grade)

i've seen a few times these buses, but most of kids are going to schools by walking

subway, buses or walking

We don't really have many bike lanes they just share the road with cars, they are starting to build them but it'll never be as extensive as the Netherlands, usually they are segregated from the road by a curb.
>>
>>58190050
they do when they appear, but they're uncommon compared to the netherlands

Nah, no buses for going specifically to school.
Although there is this one piece of paper I keep seeing on the side wall of this cheap barbershop I frequent that says "Will drive your kids to school. Call #12345..." but I gotta say, it's hella sketchy.
>>
>>58190050

Also a big problem with cycling in London for example is that we have a lot of trucks/lorries come in from Europe who drive on the road so they have a really hard time seeing cyclists who come riding up on their left, most of the cyclists die when the truck goes to turn left.
>>
You go in the regular bus. I went 10km x2 for 6 years, 15km x2 for 3 years and 35km x2 for 3 years

I fucking hate buses now
>>
>>58190234

Who drive on the opposite side of the road*

My school didn't have its own bus service when I was there but it closed down and reopened as an Academy after I graduated and now they have a school bus service, it's probably due to the fact that they can get sponsored by businesses rather than relying 100% on state funding.
>>
>>58190362
I did all that and it really was fun in the spring, girls sitting on your lap in miniskirts because there wasn't enough room

I still would've preferred being on my computer half an hour earlier though

My trip to elementary school was just two kilometers, so I walked during late autumn, winter and early spring and used bike rest of the schoolyear.
High school was around 5 km away in the city but fuck carrying two tons of books on your back while cycling so I used bus.
Luckily there were these "one month cards" that you'd recharge every month, cost like 53€ but then you could use all the bus lines around in the city and nearby areas as much as you like.

we have these but they're barely used. most of the kids quickly learn to travel by themselves on the public bus or just walkin'
