What's the relationship between Brazil and the other countries in South America? I'm interested since Brazil is probably the biggest and most relevant country down there, but it's also special since it doesn't speak Spanish, which might make communication difficult.
So what do other LatAms think of Brazil?

Relation with other SA countries besides politics and commerce are almost non-existant, almost no one in Brazil speaks spanish and most people can't even point where Colombia or Venezuela are correctly.
Most Brazilians see Argentinians as distant cousins, perceive Uruguay as that "tiny poor" nation, even if their HDI is far superior than ours and see Paraguay, Bolivia and Peru as Indian reservations that somehow turned into states. We don't have the slightest idea of what is happening beyond the amazon jungle.

thats a very strange argument. Since rio is from the south east region, and the south is ... eh .. south. Rio and sao paulo are the biggest contribuitors to the union.
