We're still very much a mercantile nation. Corporate tax is among the lowest in the world, and less than 50% of our income tax. Creating a new corporate entity is free, etc.

He got pretty mixed feedback, but a lot of publicity.
Golden Age, however, is not really taught. I didn't have history in my high school package, so I only had it until 3rd class, but I was never really taught about our naval strength, or the Anglo-Dutch wars.
