English. It is the "bitch" of other languages, meaning that it's very flexible in its ability to incorporate new terminology, slang, etc. It has been beaten so many times in history, whereas Chinese is not flexible at all. It won't work as an international language. Take for example the word "horse". English speakers could decide one day that "horse" no longer represents horse, but instead means fish. In Mandarin, the symbol for "horse" is quite literally the caricature of a horse.
