I'd say it is not peculiar to Belorussian nationalists only. Every Slav's top priority is stealing from their own people if left unchecked whereby they exhaust their country's economy so no wonder its level of poverty holds up.

No. Things here are the exact way they are in any other country—if you work hard, you will make it big; if you are dumb and lazy, you will stay poor. There might be the difference that some other countries give you slightly more opportunities to become successful, though.
