The Economist has been shit for a lot longer than Brazil
>make wrong predictions
>put the blame on someone else
You're the fools.
have to say, I believed in the brazil meme not that long ago. I remember reading an article about how they were even attracting large numbers of Portuguese people from technical backgrounds because of how booming their economy was. I figured with a white upper class running the show they'd surely become a superpower.
I was wrong.

Your logic is impeccable but you made the basic error of assuming the Portugese were white.

For some reason, Portugueses always went to their former colonies despite Portugal being more affluent than any of them.
>I figured with a white upper class running the show they'd surely become a superpower.
The white upper class always ran the show, but we were only in this path (of becoming superpower) when these people were solely of Portuguese descent, like in the Empire.

When have we not been ruled by a white upper class?

>ruling class is white
>average BR is not
You see, that's the problem. Our rulers don't identify with the people. They just think of them as sheep. You might say that it's like that all around the world. But here it's kind of different. Anyway, they just think of themselves, they don't give a fuck about the people.
