In this sentence, does クリスマスプレゼントを really belong to 隠しておく? 子どもに obviously belongs to 見つからない, so isn't the sentence order wierd if クリスマスプレゼントを doesn't belong to 見つからない? Like, can you really mix up different parts (子どもに見つからないように and クリスマスプレゼントを 隠しておく) like that? I do know 見つかる usually takes が, but googling it there seems to be instances where を is used as well.
