It's very high but it's true that a lot of people work and don't pay taxes but, if they did, that job wouldn't be profitable for the entrepreneur nor the worker.

Of course the 50% is not ''real''. A lot of people work without contract and shit, yea

The employment situation is very grim if you worked with oil. Beyond that, it seems fine, unless the local area was literally a oil town.

yep, tons of latin loanwords in both of our languages.

a friend of mine studies russian at uni and says it's probably the most difficult along with polish, and finnish to a certain extent, since the difficulty is more about the sounds you make, grammar rules are rules, it's all about memorising.

romance vocab is incredibly easy because of that, the grammar is foreign but not hard to understand at all.

hardest thing for us is pronunciation and i think that goes both ways because ive never heard an italian speak english that was not heavily accented

English is pretty hard to pronounce since your spelling and pronunciation rules are pretty arbitrary e.g. blood vs pool or youth vs mouth

I'm not that dude, but when I was in Vancouver I was making $22 an hour and still didn't really have much money to spend on fun stuff.
The biggest costs were Rent and Hydro, hands down.
Second would be Auto insurance.

I moved into a apartment with two Chinese students because I couldn't afford to live by myself. One bedrooms in the Lower ML can be very expensive, it's not even worth it. It gets cheaper as you get further east to Chiliwack and Coquitlam but it's still pricy and then your looking at an 1.5 hour commute to work into the city.
Don't think your location has the same costs that Anon does, because it's not. Canada is a massive country with extreme fluctuations at play all the time.
I moved back to my hometown in Ontario and I make minimum wage, 50h a week and live comfortably. I learned how to manage my money living in Van but by no means would you be talking shit when you don't know details. What are you... a liberal? or French?

pretty much this. im a dumbass and only make $18/h and live with 3 irish dudes. we live in the middle and top floor of a house, and there are 3 more people in the basement suite.

i would prefer to live alone, but im not commuting ~2h to work everyday.

God bless the Queen they aren't British.

With Trudeau going to crack down on Chink Cheese funding the city, rent will go down in a few years... maybe. But the work will slow down even more. Actually rural Saskatchewan's doing pretty well, excepting the oil patch in the south-east. Saskatchewan's economy is pretty diverse, we're not nearly as oil dependent as Alberta.

Case in point, before the oil crash, Saskatchewan had the lowest unemployment rate in the country, and Alberta the second lowest. Now, Saskatchewan still has the lowest unemployment, but Alberta is below the national average.

Don't get me wrong, the oil crash doubled the unemployment rate, but it doubled from like 3%.

I'm not familiar with it. The UK doesn't really offer much except old, rusty naval assets that are slightly better then our fishing boats.

It's always been the Canadian economic way of selling raw and buying back refined for four times the price. Harper's MNC rim job policies took a lot of money out. the TPP doesn't help us, it helps everyone else. by making us give quality regulated goods away for shitty unregulated goods. It's fucking abysmal.
The EU-Canada deal just pisses off Europeans enviro groups, which are pretty influential. Romania won't have it.
The most ideal agreement to come from Trudeau's term is the China-Canada one but even then, fuck that. He wants to set bills on the floor to grasp foreign property ownership which will take Chinese money to San Fran and Cali.
Canada is everyone's drug dealer... that is nice and doesn't nag you for what you all owe him. Our Military is practically natives and crack babies with bolt action rifles so. Fuck man.... Idk, Canada can't achieve much economically until oil goes up, that's the only leverage we have on MN trade agreement.
Japan offers more the UK. And the TPP gives an additional %20 of imported cars to be constructed in Japan, leaving less work here.

Careful... don't go into a trade now when 5 years down the road there will be no work.
Trudeau is strangling Chinese property ownership. good for everyone else, but bad for construction companies.
If you are willing to travel where there is work, go ahead. Plumbing and Electrical is always a good choice, always work. You make money by running your own business in trades.
Toronto, Montreal, and Quebec aren't really much better. Harper crushed the High Academic Jobs with his MNC cocksucking legislation. So... trades are the only reliable classes of education, yet soft sciences and art majors are at a all time high. Fuck Canada, get your shit together.

TPP was and is spectacular for Canada. The biggest short-term downside is for the dairy industry, and the federal assistance they're receiving in recompense isn't much more than the federal dollars spent EVERY year to prop up that dead industry.

Inefficient, uncompetitive industries in this country need to be allowed to die so that capital can be directed where it's most effective. Every dairy farmer and factory worker in Ontario should've been out of a job forty years ago, and the money we've spent on them since then, artificially maintaining their jobs, is an order of magnitude more than what we've earned from those industries.

It's easy to get a job, but it probably won't pay enough to make you financially independent. You'll probably rely on your parents for support unless you had an amazing internship because your uncle is the CEO.

come on, the price will go up again you tards

especially since the US will stop fracking in the next 5 or so years since it doesn't just poison the environment and create burning faucets, but apparently it also causes quakes.

Bretty good compare to others eurocucks I guess

Some regions have problems but Prague have like 2.5% unemplyoment with more jobs than unemployed people

Problem are not jobs but salaries, average is like 1k€ and you have the same prices for import stuff like in western europe

So you spend like 600 for rent, food and other stuff and you have like 400 for beer, gadgets etc.

Youth employment is pretty bad, around 20% or so.
I and 11 others were lucky enough to get a contract job off +1000 people to a local soda factory/brewery for six months, definetely gonna work my ass off and try to get my foot in there and hope I´d get a place after the contract is over.

What does not help the whole thing is our social security and bureaucracy bullshit.
Say you become unemployed and after some time you get money off of social security so you can live, during this time you can´t earn more than x amount of money, something like 300€ or something without you loosing your gibsmedats.
Plus because there are so many other benefits you can get, some of your rent paid off, "waaa I have autism I cant human help me" - aid etc. that those can add up to be equal or even more than some minimum wage job would pay, further discouraging to get a job.
What I personally find just gross is the mandatory internships/"work practice" you might have to do. Say you get unemployment gibsmedats and you are looking for jobs local unemployment office may then send you a job offer you have to respond even if it´s just unpaid internship. So now you got to work eight hours a day and you get some measly amount of money that is less than you´d get doing a minimum wage job. And if you don´t attend to it you loose the benefits for some weeks/months.
It´s a fucking mess and I want it nuked or at least reformed.

B-b-but guys, they said we're in a recovery!

50% youth unemployment
no industry
if you did not have a job before 2008 you are shit out of luck

specially if you have
even degrees don't help (I have an EE degree), maybe if you know some serious programming you will land 450€/month (after taxes) job or 1000€ one with 10 years experience

planning to move somewhere north or west
but not to germany because of the niggers and sandiggers
>>
>>58014162
especially if you have no 5 year experience *

>Even as a student with a 20 hrs work-contract you get about 900 euro/month

I make even more than that with 20 hours.
