Fact 1. He attended Japanese military school and became an officer. However he did not participate in subjugating Korean resistance forces. There were practically no active Korean troops in Manchuria in 40s as they were already purged and they moved to the mainland China.
Fact 2. There has been BIG controversy on whether he wrote the "blood petition" here, and to say in short, the conspiracy is groundless. It takes huge efforts to translate the reasoning so I'll only mention that the sole source of the claim is an article from 滿洲日報 in 1939. The newspaper was discontinued in 1935. How can a newspaper report an incident that happened after the end of its publication?
