Not here. A lot of people are trying to keep the language and culture alive, and if that means passing it on to white people then that's what has to happen. I think it's more about community than blood here. Most people are just a tiny bit native but still call themselves Native and attend pow-wows. It's actually pretty rare to find someone over 50% Native that isn't an elder or deep in the rez. Even if you're not Native at all you can still become one by getting permission from the tribe. The federal and state governments don't like that because of affirmative action and all that bullshit.

Here in Brazil most of our native languages were lost after Portugal prohibited any language other than Portuguese, including our lingua franca at the time. Today, only people deep in the Amazon know any tupi-guarani language.
