What's the difference between Britain, England and the U.K? They all seem the same.
Britian = the big island
England = the nation on the South of Britian
UK = England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland in one term
>>57826224
Not op but I honestly thought Britain was just another term for the UK.
>>57826145
Are people from Northern Ireland call British as well?
>being this autistic
>being this lazy to not use google
>>57826145

jesus christ OP get it together
>>57826824
No. That's why the irish say "brits out of ireland"
>>57826272
Britain is a geographical, rather than political term.
>>57826824
depends who you ask and where you ask it
in some parts you will get the shit beaten out of you
in other parts you're called a good lad
>>57826872
Is there a word to call "an inhabitant of the UK" ?
Like UnitedKindomian or something?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1wLtAXDgqg
>>57826272
it is an unofficial term for the UK you are correct and it gets used all the time instead of the UK in casual conversation
>>57826824
technically speaking yes, in reality it boils down to whether you are catholic or protestant
>>57826920
British is the official term
>>57826888
Even then the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland isn't entirely correct
There are other islands which are considered part of the UK other than just Great Britain and part of Ireland such as the Isle of Anglesey, Isle of Wright, Isles of Scilly, Orkney Islands, Shetland Islands ect
Obviously "United Kingdom of Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Anglesey, Wright, Scilly, Orkney, Hebrides, Shetlands and some other Tiny Islands" is slightly more inconvenient to say than United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
What's the difference between stuff? I'm retarded.

From what I understand:
Great Britain = the largest island in the British isles.
England = Kingdom of the Angles, or the English as we call them today.
UK = The Kingdoms of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland united under the English monarchy.
>>57826920
British or Briton
Briton is rarely used though
>>57826831
>posting pepes
>>57826145
Britain is an island. England is a region on the said island. The UK is a country which occupies Britain, a lot of islandlets and a northern part of Ireland.
>>57827222
You new here or something?
>>57827200
Aren't the orginal celtic Britons in France?
>>57827146
Great Britain or just Britain is often used as a term for the country (the UK) as well although it is not strictly official, like when people say America instead of the USA
>>57827278
dunno 2bqfh
>>57827301
Technically, the term US citizen is used instead of American in government documents for legal purposes. Is it the same in the UK?
>>57826921

>The Bretons are an ethnic group located in the region of Brittany in France. They trace much of their heritage to groups of Brittonic speakers who emigrated from southwestern Great Britain including Cornwall to avoid invading Germanic tribes. They also descend from the Gauls and in some parts from Vikings. They migrated in waves from the 3rd to 9th century (most heavily from 450 to 600) into the Armorican peninsula, which was subsequently named Brittany after them.[7]
Gib ancient land Germanic savages
>>57827278

>>57827827
