a potential two state solution, or in general terms, any type of compromise, is the only realistic way forward, an unpopular but realpolitik-based solution that is a tough pill to swallow for the Arab world at large given cultural inertia, and Arab governments tread the issue carefully, generally with an eye on peace, but carefully choosing which message to broadcast to prevent the accusation of appeasing Israel.
