It's 2 hours away from the nearest city, 1 hour away from the nearest big town of 5,000 people.

Does it look like Greece? Because it's in the Mediterrenean.

Actually no, it looks really dry in OP's picture because I took that photo in mid summer 2 years ago.

Here's how it looks like in spring.

There are cows and that's about it. But the land is very fertile so there are a lot of farms/gardens.
>>
Why are you lying? You don't live there.

You're just visiting.

It's not a coincidence that it happens to be Saturday.
>>

Can you ski, or any other winter sport?
>>
>>57633424
Inland Anatolia? It's sort of flat. Google Konya Ovası.

>>57633440
At home is very cozy. I browse the internet, put on the wood heater, make baked potatoes in the handmade oven in the garden, make tea in winter nights, etc. And without car, I just take walks to the nearby hills/mountains, it's very refreshing. There isn't social life here so I'm always alone. I have no friends.

Nope, it's too rocky and cliffy on the mountains.

Is it true that villages are usually either 100% kurdish or 100% turkish depending on how far east you go?
>>
>>57633660
:3

>>57633717
Post, I'm curious.
>>
>>57633810
It sounds like a stupid exaggeration. But there are 100% Kurdish, 100% Turkish, 100% Albanian, 100% Greek, etc. villages indeed.

I usually tower over most Turks. But whenever I see Turks of European descent (Greeks, Slavs, etc.) they're either as tall as I am or a tad shorter.

Do you speak Turkish?

I'm sure Norway has better and if not just as good nature. I wish I could visit but I almost never have time for it.
>>
>>57635078
no sadly not since my father never taught me the language (hes still good father etc) But i have considered going to university in Turkey. Are there good english schools in Izmir Ankara or Istanbul?
>>
>>57635240
>university in Turkey instead of Finland

Why would you want to study in Turkey? A lot of universities here give lessons in English, especially private ones. But our education is too bad, it's a bad idea. The average Turk would give his kidneys to study in Finland instead of in Turkey. You'd be doing a mistake. Besides, there is no social life here, night life is meme tier, you will be bored in a few weeks.
>>
>>57635405
Are the private schools that bad? Why is the education system bad. I havent looked these up since theres 3-4 years to decide
>>
>>57633125
What do you think of the migrants living in Turkey?

Aren't you afraid of your life in general? (see bombings)

What are some desserts you'd recommend to a foreigner?
>>
>>57635556
I don't know why. I just know that it's bad. State universities are bad, private ones are even worse. In Turkey, only idiots go to private universities because they couldn't make it to the state universities.

>3-4 years to decide

>What do you think of the migrants living in Turkey?

Pretty much everyone is pissed off about their existence here. But luckily I don't see any of them in my village. But the cities are infested.

Vid related. Refugees stealing bread get beaten up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiwn58TkoJs

>Aren't you afraid of your life in general? (see bombings)

I am, but we got used to it. Terror attacks were once in a decade thing in the last 10 years. But now it's new for us. People were really anxious at first but everyone got used to it. I got used to it too. I was scared for my life and I still am, but I know there isn't anything I can do about it.

>What are some desserts you'd recommend to a foreigner?

Kazandibi, sütlaç, baklava, künefe, kadayıf, maraş dondurması.
>>
Do you know any Circassians? What do they think of you? What do you think of them?

How many people live in your village? How many are young people? Do young people move to the city often?

Do you have gf?
>>
>>57635854
>Pretty much everyone is pissed off about their existence here
except humanist commie university students
>>
>>57636034
Circassians are long assimiliated. They're as Circassian as Americans are British/German today. They just love mentioning their heritage because it makes them feel special; "look, I stand out".

If you're talking about the old ones, I haven't met any before.

>How many people live in your village? How many are young people? Do young people move to the city often?

About 300-350 maybe. There aren't many young people, only 10% of the village are below 30 maybe. We don't even have a high school here. Families with children left for the nearest cities for their children. Some went to Istanbul, Ankara, etc.

No gf.

What do people in your village think about Islam and Ataturk? What do they think of Erdogan?

Ouch. One hand hand I dislike those people, on the other hand they were just hungry... Not that I condone stealing, but still.
>I was scared for my life and I still am, but I know there isn't anything I can do about it.
I'd avoid public transportation if I were you. Also bigger cities like Istambul or Ankara.
>Kazandibi, sütlaç, baklava, künefe, kadayıf, maraş dondurması.
You have some strange desserts. I liked the baklava and maras one, they look intriguing.
>>57635936
a-anon....
>>
>>57636399
People here are religious so they care about Islam a lot especially the old people. They like Atatürk. Some probably not. My grandmother used to tell me that everyone in the village cried a lot when Atatürk passed away.

>Ouch. One hand hand I dislike those people, on the other hand they were just hungry... Not that I condone stealing, but still.

They could have asked. A lot of bakeries donate bread to people. But this was in Hatay, the Arab border. The shop owners were probably pissed off due to the refugee majority there, I understand their frustration.

>I'd avoid public transportation if I were you. Also bigger cities like Istambul or Ankara.

It's literally not possible to avoid transportation in the big cities. You have to take the metro to reach your school, office, etc. Most campuses for example are outside cities so you have to take the public transport. There is no other way. And you can't avoid the big cities, that's where the biggest industries and universities are.

>You have some strange desserts. I liked the baklava and maras one, they look intriguing.

They taste better than they sound. Maraş dondurması is ice cream with mastic gum in it. It stretches and is very different from normal ice cream.

Are you or anyone in your family "born" on Jan 1 /July 1?
Often a case with first gen Almancis here because there was apparently no administration in their home places (usually East Anatolian mountain villages) back then so they only roughly knew their year of birth

There is a lot of charm to it.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't your day go like this:
>wake up really early, tend to olives/melons/corn
>swim back home
>scam tourists
>dinner, siesta
>drink and play board games till late night

Human race is to live in the mediterranean basin. Perfect weather, temperature, crops, terrain. We evolved to live there. This is our home. Everyone not living there end up bitter and butthurt like us.

Nah, our natural habitat is probably tropical East Africa. Without clothing and houses, temps below 20°C would kill us
Also having more sweat glands than any other animal also hints at hot climate adaptation

Well our ancestors 200000 years ago were adapted to that (of course modern nigs have evolved away from that MRCA too)
