You have to work on your stops.Especially when you pronounce letters like "k", "t", "p". Imagine it as a drag race. Go full force and then suddenly brake. Your "tvrtka" turns out as "tvrtt[something unintelligible]a". Pronounce it separately -> "tvrt" - "ka". Put stress at the beginning of each unit
When you master these simple consonant stops, making your pronunciation sharp and "crisp", try with the "opskrbljivanje". An alternative to that word, and an easier one to springboard towards it, is "opskrba". "Opskrbljivanje" is just an imperfective gerund in form of a noun (of the verb: "opskrbljivati"), while "opskrba" is the proper noun. Try it

Yeah, I didn't speak it enough as a child to pick up a native accent, very few diaspora have a native accent. Perhaps only a handful in my generation (those between 18-25) actually have a native accent.

Because all of our parents that moved here were seljaci from the 50s and 60s, they all speak Croatian, but don't know how to teach it. Don't lose it. Practice it, because the letter is useful in mastering most languages. Pronounce it like you would the Spanish "r"
Prolong that "r" in "frfljanje" fr practice, although the accent is on the "a". Just like you would, for fun, pronounce "ai carrrrrrrrramba"

By some configuration, you'd be best off learning Bulgarian or Macedonian. Though you might consider either a meme language, they will prove useful in later trying to conquer Russian, for example. They have articles, just like Romance and Germanic languages (appended on the word, as a suffix, like for example Norwegian...), no cases, fair amount of loanwords to instantly build a modest vocabulary. Doesn't have all the weird letters Polish has. I will dare and say that Bulgarian is the easiest Slavic language and fairly logical. Standard Bulgarian. As for the accents/dialects...everyone has their own story there
