I am descent from French Canuks who came down before the revolution. I have been in the New World for over 400 years and America for over 300, I am in no way a French Canadian, I am in every possible way American, why should I identify as a -American? I am only loyal to my state and America, not France who is across an ocean and completely foreign to me, I barely speak any French and thats only because I took it in school over Spanish due to finding it easier.
Why am I French-American over American?
