Alright /int/, here is the deal:
I have been fortunate enough to have connections in the US, and therefore I would like to try something from their large range of groceries etc.
The problem is that I am indecisive, and I'm having frustrations about what to order.
So this is where you come in, 'muricans, recommend a European your finest goods that your country produces!
>>57483486
Coco wheats
Pizza Rolls and Hamburger Helper :^)
Corn
>>57483573
My country doesn't allow that unfortunately.
>>57483773
why no hamburger helper can came
>>57483486
Get some high quality root beer
What the fuck are you looking for, OP? Snacks, meats, candy, drinks, frozen dinners, vegetables?
>>57484059
Snacks and candy mostly, maybe some stuff that could be cool to have..
Like, he lives in Washington D.C so..
>>57484146
I would try the folks at /ck/
Anyway, here's something kind of local to the D.C. area.
>>57483486
Hershey's chocolate
>>57483486
Kinder Eggs
>>57483486
deepfried butter
hotpockets
doritos
>>57485921
Good one, man.
>>57486016
Hotpockets are something that is frozen first, right? Can they really endure a 12 hour flight and plus delivery to Denmark?
>>57485842
Cookies n' Cream or?
>>57483895
I already have that here, mah man.
>>57486235
You don't have pic related?
>>57486413
Oh, we do.
>>57483486
The finest goods in the US are americanizations of foreign stuff or actual foreign stuff. I don't think I'd recommend American chocolate or candy or anything
>>57486602
I agree with this guy. If you want a slice of americana I wouldn't recommend the snacks to a European.
>>57487181
what should I then buy?
>>57483486
Get some JIFs peanut butter. I heard that peanut butter is expensive in Europe and not as good as the American stuff. Also get some grape jelly.
I genuinely want to try scrapple
>>57487265
There's not much you can import that would blow your mind. Most of our snacks are just vehicles for corn syrup
>>57487469
Well, you've got twinkies...so that is something?
And pop tarts! We don't have those either!
Or kool aid, or Jell-o.
>>57487426
No you don't. It's just overly salted pig scraps for poor folk. No reason to eat that shit in modern times. Here's a southern breakfast with scrapple, eggs, and grits with butter.
>>57487730
forgot pic
>>57487552
Out of those, try Jello. Twinkies and poptarts are OK
You don't have Kool Aid or Jello?
>>57487832
No we don't unfortunately..
What's your cereal of choice my Burgerphile friends? I remember all variations of Captain Crunch being elder god tier.
>>57487972
Müsli
>>57487920
Jello is great, and you can make some pretty decent Popsicles out of Kool aid. Grape Kool Aid is nasty as hell though
>>57487972
Haven't had Cap'n Crunch in years, but Frosted Flakes and Honey Nut Cheerios are good if you like sugary cereal. Most of the name brand cereals use a shitload of sugar, so it's mostly down to whether you like fruity sugar, chocolate sugar, or just sugar
>>57487265
You can have my DC license plate. Best flavor of kool-aid is Tropical Punch. You can also freeze it in a container of some sort and eat it as a popsicle. The sugar might be overwhelming for a foreigner.
>>57487972
I'm an old person at heart and really like Honey Bunches of Oats, but as far as more sugary "kid"-focused cereal, I like Frosted Flakes and a good bowl of Lucky Charms every now and then. I miss the days of French Toast Crunch and Waffle Crisp.
>>57488361
>Taxation without representation
Nice historical satire.
>>57488431
>Americans actually believe this
>>57488481
Isn't it just a parody on "No Taxation Without Representation"?
I mean, people aren't that stupid, right?
>>57488559
Here you go,
>"The bitterness stems from the fact that DC is constitutionally disenfranchised, and the rest of the country doesn't much recognize or care about it.
So far in this discussion, I see several criticisms of the slogan itself, which generally fall into the categories "It's okay that DC suffers taxation without representation" and "Even if that's not okay, the slogan is inappropriate".
>>57488559
We're taught that the British unjustly raised taxes on the poor destitute colonists(they just started enforcing taxes that were already in place to pay for a war that we had started). The people who use it in that context actually believe it
I think the licence plate has something to do with the fact that DC is controlled by Congress(read:everywhere else but DC)
>>57483486
Lebanon Balogna, Whoopie Pies, birch beer, scrapple at least just for the experience.
>>57488617
Federal districts are pretty dumb, especially if for equally stupid reasons they don't vote for their own representatives in the body for which they exist.
>>57489031
>>57488778
>>57488617
IMO there's really no real reason to have the capitol as a separate district anymore anyway. Just absorb it into Maryland.
>>57489263
That would piss off Virginia, but fuck Virginia
>>57489263
>Just absorb it into Maryland
I don't want those people in my state. Give it to Virginia.
>>57489369
I don't understand why; DC's liberal leanings already line up with MD's better than Virginia, it would be doing them a favor. I don't understand why anyone would care anymore about notoriety or clout from having the federal capitol in your state. Like, who really cares anyway?
>>57489501
It affects the number of Representatives Maryland would get
>>57489603
ehhh true, I can't believe I forgot about that.
