I still don't understand why I am supposed to be scandalized, shocked, or impressed at a news story that reveals that rich people park money overseas, sometimes 'launder' it through interpersonal buffers, etc. It's like, whoop-dee-doo, big "news" story.

The reason why is that most of America's politicians and mechanisms are brought to a forefront on a daily basis i.e Daily show, last week with john oliver, PBS news, tabloids ect. we see so much issues continually that either people have cleaned up their act or have gotten better at hiding it.

Our system is built for richfags. They don't have much reason to launder money offshore since the options at home aren't too bad. On the other hand if Sanders became president I suspect you'd see a growth in offshore accounts held by Americans.
