As long as I make sure my shoes are clean when I walk in the house I don't bother taking them off. Especially since most of the house has wooden flooring not carpet it isn't going to get as dirty as easily.
One of my friends though, makes us take off our shoes to go in his house but his floor is fucking disgusting. After I've been inside, the bottom of my socks are covered in grime and filth.
