>people applaud the pilot then immediately get out of their seat and start taking their things from the overhead lockers

What is it with third worlders and this ? And yes, I'm looking at you Russians.
>>
>>57276380
Are you just expecting us to leave our shit in the lockers?
>>
>applaud the pilot

Reading comprehension, idiot.

As in getting out of your seat while the plane is still taxiing.
>>
>>57276528
I flew in Russia and Georgia and they all did this. As if to show their gratitude that they weren't killed.
>>
>>57276594
Sure you did
>>
>>57276642
Sorry that the truth hurts so much, yevgenij
>>
The clapping has happened on every flight I've ever been on but they make it pretty clear to stay in your seat until the plane stops moving.
>>
>>57276380
That's nothing. Americans even applaud the flight attendants for providing them meals.
>>

From which part of the butthurt belt have you emigrated?

Thats pretty much it as to why they do it.

The pilot needs to tell them that the airplane was not made in russia and they dont fall apart in the sky so there is no need to think flying in them is some type of russian roulette.

Lol, fucking knew it. You have that Baltic asspain desperation. Cheers, lad. Come up with something better next time.
>>
>>57276795
I don't see what the big deal is. Landing a plane is probably the hardest part. So you just give a clap to acknowledge "Hey, good job buddy"

>You have that Baltic asspain desperation.

The fact that I'm foreign scum and STILL saying this should at least mean something to you, one would hope. The baltics are, objectively, vastly superior to Russia, but the fact that ruski sovok bydlo still have the right to reside there is the most appalling thing in all of this situation. If you actually lived there, as a third party like me, you would also realise what a pathetic thing it is to be Russian m8.

>Various conspiracy theories about the crash have since been in circulation, and are promoted by senior political figures in Poland, who claim the crash was a political assassination, but no evidence supporting this version was found in the Polish investigation.[1][2]

It was assembled in Poland as well

The parts were made in Russia and transported to the assembly plant in Eastern Poland.

Also, keep ignoring the facts.

I've been on flights where the pilots were given a round of applause for nailing smooth landings in absolute crap weather conditions.

One really appreciates a good job sometimes.
>>
>>57276380
God damn A340s are disgusting.
>>
>>57278076
m8 my dad is a pilot and he thinks it's ridiculous (albeit understandable) that passengers judge the whole flight by the approach/landing.
>>
tbqh if i had the displeasure of ever having to fly in a russian airplane i'd probably weep from joy after every safe landing
>>
>>57278339
A340-5/600s were fucking beautiful m8. It's the A380 that's the family abomination.

Although I've always been biased towards the DC-10/MD-11F
>>

I thought that habit only happened with Spanish people. It's quite embarrassing.
>>
>>57276970
yes, well we can't all have glorious english weather now, can we?
>>
>>57278370
Those are the situations when you are most likely to have something go catastrophically wrong.

I was on a flight a few years ago where the pilots, to use the USN term, basically "dove for the deck" in rainy crosswind conditions. I was taking note of the engine spooling and the forceful rudder action and noticed we broke through the clouds about 100 ft above ground. We proceeded to get hit by a hell of a gust which caused a sudden yaw to port. The pilots were committed though, we touched down on the port gear and round it for about 5-6 seconds before the starboard touched then a stiff nose down with immediate application of the thrust reversers an instant after.

All things considered, it was a nice landing at an airport(Newark) which is a deep shit spot to touch down short or overrun the strip.

I landed a plane in Flight Simulator once. A Cessna in a clear runway.

Greatest achievement of my aviation career.

>landing a massive propellar aircraft on a moving vessel
Massive balls of steel. I was scared enough to consider piloting my own plane, thank God I stuck to medicine and the office.
>>
>>57278339
Boeings are more pretty, granted, especially the 777 and with the exception of the 757.

But the A340-500 and 600 looks good because of the engines, it's the A380 which is an ugly juggernaut.
