How's the state of Iranian nationalism / secularism?
I've heard loads of things from Iranian friends in the west and in books about how secular the youth are in the cities. There's a bit in Rory Stewart's book where he says that when he walked through Tehran, youths would approach him and ask him questions about Nietzsche and Atheism etc. Also Iranians who have migrated to Germany tend to convert to Christianity immediately (probably so they can't be deported and executed).
But what's the actual situation in the country? Whats the future of the government and country?
