Kind of. Only the rear bumper does, but that's mostly because this and the Range Rover both need the sharp lower kink because they have large rear overhangs and still need to be able to pull off sharp departure angles.

They're powerful, comfy as fuck, you can take them off road and they're inexpensive to maintain.

I'd definitely buy it if I were in the market for an SUV. The only true competitors to it are the Rang Rover and Mercedes GL, but Range Rovers are laughable unreliable and the GL while reliable is pretty underwhelming unfortunately.

Muscle cars are the most pretentious overrated shit barges ever. They don't even remotely handle, they just look brash and make noise and maybe accelerate quickly with race tires on them, otherwise they just make a lot of smoke.

What? Dodge muscle cars (Charger & Challenger) handle poorly but the Ford and GM muscle cars, specifically the Camaro and Mustang handle fantastically. The Camaro is riding on a Cadillac Alpha platform originally built for the ATS which bested the 3 series in a bunch of comparisons. The GT350R and every V8 Camaro derivative are absurdly fast.
>>
>>56866169
>specifically the Camaro and Mustang handle fantastically
They've only even BEGUN to remotely handle a year or so ago, before they were still shitbuckets on solid axles.

>The Camaro is riding on a Cadillac Alpha platform originally built for the ATS which bested the 3 series in a bunch of comparisons.
Done by Motortrend which are financially supported by GM.

>The GT350R and every V8 Camaro derivative are absurdly fast.
In a straight line, nowhere else.
>>
>>56866295
>They've only even BEGUN to remotely handle a year or so ago, before they were still shitbuckets on solid axles.
So what? 20 years ago Audi was on the same rung as Opel, about the pull out of the US market and was economically unviable. Now they're a succesful luxury manufacturer. Times change. If the past is what you want to focus on do you want be to bring up how in the 1940s Germany was an utter shithole decimated by a war they started, requiring Franco-American financing and Turkish laborers to rebuild itself?

>The Camaro is riding on a Cadillac Alpha platform originally built for the ATS which bested the 3 series in a bunch of comparisons.

Nope. Every American publication has been praising the Alpha platform derivatives. Even British and German reviewers like them.

>The GT350R and every V8 Camaro derivative are absurdly fast.
The Alpha Camaro & ATS cars handle better than the F30 3 and 4 series equivalents, are cheaper and more powerful. They're only lacking in interior comfort.

American cars aren't build for turning. Turning is for Europeans since your roads are tiny and windy.
>>
>>56866639
But it's a sports car. It's the successor to the only American car that won Le Mans. Not even being able to make that car turn is a declaration of failure.

Are you sure? Because most SUVs are not actually made for that.. If you're serious about taking it off road, you'd probably be better off with a GL or a Defender (or better yet, a Toyota or something).. Lets not pretend Escalades and Navigators are made for anything other than rap videos, shopping and taking kids to school or sports.

>>56867624
GLs aren't that great off road, You'd need a G-Wagen for that. The Defender left production last year. Toyota is best at it but you can definitely take a Navigator off road. They're built on the same platform as the F150 and the Expedition which are dedicated body on frame SUVs like the Toyota and Nissan off roaders.

I don't think you people realize how big this thing is

You wouldn't need steps if it weren't so big. Especially considering the floor of the damn thing is a foot thick for no fucking reason other than to accommodate stairs that would otherwise be unnecessary.

>>
>>56869076
It's that thick because it's based on a body on frame truck platform and is going to have a hybrid variant. The batteries are going to go in that space between the floor and bottom of the undercarriage to maintain a flat interior space.

Really? It seems like they've been doing better than usual lately. I'm seeing lot's of those MKC things and Navigators around and see a lot of MKZ hybrids in fleet use. I think the recession was their low point.
>>
>>56878294
honestly in my area I still only see them used as service vehicles (rent a car, limousine, etc), and very rarely I see someone driving their SUV's

Patrol masterrace
>>
>>56878621
>Yeah, but why? I literally see no reason for a car this huge unless you have 10 kids.
sometimes its because the road conditions outside major cities makes it risky to drive sedans so we usually get the big all wheel drive vehicles
the other reason is because N. Americans like things big, and just because we can.
>Also, does anyone over there think about how much these hogs need fuel? Why pay more for fuel?
North America is blessed with an absolute shitload of oil.
The province of Alberta alone carries the third highest oil reserves in the whole world, behind saudi arabia and venezuala(which has really shitty crude oil)
>>
>>56878376
Here it's mostly MKZ hybrids in fleet use. Chinese and women seem to like Lincoln crossovers and pretty much every Mexican family that breaks out of the low income bracket has a Navigator or Mercedes SUV in their driveway.
>>
>>56878621
>Also, does anyone over there think about how much these hogs need fuel? Why pay more for fuel?

Gas is extremely cheap here. My local gas station is about $2.39 per gallon right now.

That comes out to about €0.55 per liter in Euros.

Also this thing is predominately aluminium and most are sold with a twin turbo V6 so they're about as efficient as a V8 gasoline Mercedes E-Class despite their size.
