What does it feel like to live in a country with powerful navy, or a space program, or a nuclear program?
feels good
>>56565922
albania got a navy, it is nice.
>>56565922
I wonder this too
Wouldn't know
Dunno
dunno man.
The only time I think about the navy is when things are going bad.
I think to myself " Man life sucks, maybe I should just quit and become a sailor".
I don't really think about the space and nuclear stuff tho.
>>56565922
EU has a space program, m8.
It doesn't effect your life at all unless you're one of the few people involved in those programs. The average citizen gets bragging rights on the internet.
>inb4 scientific progress benefitting consumer technology
That benefits pretty much everybody, not just the citizens of the country with the space program.
You worry a lot about maintaining power. Sometimes you feel proud.
Ive often wondered what it feels like to live in a country that could not defend itself if someone decided to invade it.

This except I consider becoming a corpsman
>>56565977
We're not in the ESA though, unlike Estonia
>>56565922
pretty hard 2bqh lad
>>56566006
I maxed out my asvab fåm, but I always figured I would take whatever's available if I ever joined.
It's not a very detailed contingency plan I'll admit, but it's there just in case.
>>56565922
frustrating
italy has a lightweight launcher, and launch base ouside the kenian waters.
but the rocket is only sold to ESA, so fuck this shit

Nothing specific. Last year I lived in France in a nuclear zone (near nuclear weapons, so there was a system to evacuate people in case of an accident), now I work with the German navy, which is not very powerful, but they begin to train baltic officers, and this year they will lend a supply ship to the Estonians for their Task Group staff for 6 months (Estonia will be chief of a NATO force for 6 months or so).
>>56565962
That pic is awesome.
>>56566026
True. We can't send Latvians in space because we're too afraid they'll want to fight against Russia in the ISS.
>>56566169
>Estonia will be chief of a NATO force for 6 months or so
>>56566026
>Estonia has a space program
B...Bravo
>>56566181
save it, it's all yours my friend : )
You'll know soon enough.
/balt/ for the 51st state
>>56566253
Also the German Naval Academy will train 2-3 Latvians officers starting from this year.
I heard on /pol/ Latvians have a history of joining the German Armed Forces.
>>56565962
hey I've been there
>>56566049
Always good to have a backup plan, that is something important in the military too
If your scores are that high you'll probably be assigned to intel or logistics
>>56565922
quite good

Thanks, Lori

>>56565922
don't worry you will get to know how it feels soon
I love me a good ol' space thread. :^)
>>56566541
But you have never been to space
>>56565962
>Hey kids, wanna bully the Chinese?
You'd still be a kissless virgin. Space program or navy won't warm your bed at night :^)
>>56566743
My chinese cartoons lied to me!
>>56566541
SCORE was the first comsat; it broadcast a taped Christmas greeting from President Eisenhower for 10 days until the batteries ran down, although the signal was too weak for most people to pick up.
The launch was done in secret; many of the people involved didn't know about the payload and thought they were just conducting a test flight of an Atlas missile. The reason being that they wanted to avoid another Vanguard-style embarrassment. If the launch failed, they could just claim it was a missile test.
>>56565922
Ask your parents
>>56566764
Nuclear program in the other hand just might warm your bed at night, but usually that would mean that something has gone horribly wrong.
>>56565926
>>56567561
>savage Soviet bantz
I like it.
>>56567561
As this guy asks his parents about a time when his space program was more than a low cost pack mule for the ISS. :^)
>>56567561
>>56565922
Feels pretty cozy. At this point we have so many ships that by the time a hypothetical enemy sank them all they're all out of juice and can't war anymore. It's like having a stack of doom in Civilization 4. They can attack the stack all they want, but there's simply too much stack to attack.
>>56567561
:^)
(^:
As a professional pirate, I would say our navy fleet is one of the best.
>>56565922
Why can't Latvia into space?
Does your country have no future?
>>56567561
Class act bantz.
>>56565922
There is jobs in the navy, space industry and nuclear industry
That's about it.
>>56565922
Don't know.
>>56565922
let me show u
>>56565922
Feels good mayne.
I feel good, proud, then someone shout at me that I'm a surrender monkey. I try to relativise.
>>56565922
Agony.
>>56565922
underwhelming
When you lost your job and find your girlfriend cheats on you, you tell to yourself "at last I have a powerful navy, a space program and a nuclear program"
>>56565922
why do you care about such boring things. unless you were obsessed with seeing news related to those you would never hear of all of it irl. besides the insiders only low iq nationalist tards and shitters on twitter care about those big national projects.
>>56565922
Feels good
