The world already has already enough problems dealing with one anime, now, can you imagine how it would be like with 5 animes? Well you see, that right there was pretty much the difference between how it went down for the Japanese or German scientists.
The Germans did their nasty shit, and it was info the allies could use to advance medical science, but it was info written down. They kept lots of records on their experiments. With that the nazis lost their bargaining chip, the allies just took all the records and had a judicial nazi barbecue.
Japan? Not so much, maybe they were smarter about it or maybe they sucked at keeping records, but there was nothing really written down, stuff that was being kept hidden places. It needed to be told or found. The U.S really REALLY wanted that data though, so they were willing to give all kinds of shit for it. Not really every day you can get all the knowledge without all the blood on your hands.
