There's a whole debate about the relationship between Alabama and Germany. Apparently, culture wise, Alabama is basically a smaller version of Germany. And also, they've done shit for eachother in the past.

I was in AL for a whole year as an exchange student but it didn't strike me as very German. Most counties were dry after all kek.
Nice state though. I love Southern food (Cracker Barrel especially) and very amiable people. Religion and political climate (actual climate as well, humid as fuck) takes some getting used to for Yuropoors though

Literally every aspect of your post is wrong. Germany and the US have plenty in common, since lots of Americans have German ancestry, so American cuisine is inspired by the German one. Apart from that, we're two globalized western countries, so we're pretty similar in that aspect.
Also, Americans helped engineer the social market economy after WWII. West Germany was just a test tube fir American businessmen, economists and statesmen. Last time I checked, the unified Germany accepted that model as superior to the DDR/GDR

Also, there's filmmaking out side of Hollywood too. Aronofsky, Lynch amongst others come to mind. This is highly subjective, but of course there's a huge variety in American film, from Arthouse to commercialism.
Same goes for American TV. HUGE variety with some series of great quality artistically while being commercially successful. Just look at the rampand succes of Netflix over here.
