There is a very good chance it could happen. The referendum will be on the 23rd of June.
>>56167183

I'm personally leaning towards voting to leave.
>>56167194
She's fucking pathetic and a coward. I don't want an apolitical Head of State, I want them to share their opinions and views on important issues.
>>56167488
As far as I understood, she has no right to do so, she can only "give advice" and tell the parliament to work one some topics, but you probably know that better.
>>56167319
Buckingham denied she said anything about being for or against it, so Buckingham denied the Sun's claims.
>>56167633
They would, she's a figurehead the tourists love. Can't let her have an opinion that tourists might disagree with.
>>56167319
Of course they denied it, the Queen is supposed to be politically neutral
>>56167183
Seems like bullshit desu. Murdoch's playing his little political games again.
>>56167488
faggot
There's something I don't understand here, so maybe a bong could help me with it :
I thought the Queen wasn't allowed to give her political opinion ? I am aware she is sometimes consulted on various matters such as law projects, considering her extensive knowledge of the UK's administration and the likes, but isn't it all ?
And if that's right, what's the point of this new ? If everybody knows she can't give her public opinion, why makes a new no one is going to believe ?
>>56167810
>If everybody knows she can't give her public opinion, why makes a new no one is going to believe ?
The Sun is a tabloid newspaper that caters to plebs, they'll believe anything if it agrees with their world view.

Lizzy, please. Just be honest, The people want to hear what you have to say.
>>56167894
You should give more power to the Queen so that she can advise the power in place as someone who is not swayed by the next elections.
>>56167847
Ok, I think I overlooked that.

>>56167934
No, she doesn't need any power. FFS, you want someone so disconnect from reality, who spends their life with zero struggle wielding great power? I know the MPs are a bit detached, but at least they're accountable.

>apolitical Head of State
what the fuck? how is that even a thing?
>>56169816
Because of the parliament. If it were just the Queen she could do what she wants, but introduction of the parliament saw all political things go to parliament, introducing democracy. If she gave an opinion, that may corrupt politicians to stay in her favour, nullifying the democracy.
>>56170486
Head of State is a political figure by the very definition of politics
and politicians in the parliament are trying to stay in favour of multiple people, whose views are often represented by more popular figure. this is how it works, one person added to equasion doesn't change anything
the whole "the X should stay apolitical" thing seems to me like an elaborate silencing certain figures people advocating for it disagree with
how do these cunts not get done for libel already?
>>56170775
Because it's not libel.
>>56170836
How is it not? It's saying she said something that Buckingham says is a fabrication. That's libel.
>>56168050
