If Americans don't put their flag everywhere they forget which country they're in and cause a mass panic.
We have official flag days for national holidays, royal birthdayd and some others I cant remember. Outside of that its common to use a pic related at the summer house for some reason, might be to show that you're there idk. You always take the flag/vimpel down during night time though.
