Assuming that the revolution succeeded but then the Articles of Confederation USA fell apart before the adoption of the US Constitution (only realistic scenario where I can see the US outright not existing without going really far back, as if it stayed with Britian it would still be around in a form, as North America would become the center of the British Empire and America would be in power in spirit still)
What would really happen is assuming the US just divides along state lines, everyone would be pretty irrelevant and be restricted to east of the Mississippi until industrialization where New York, Pennsylvania, and whatever country emerges in the ruins of the Northwest Territory will become as relevant as a European country like Prussia (low-class Great Power) while everyone else will either remain irrelevant or just start conquering each other to form another power. I will ignore everything west of the Mississippi as it leaves too much up to speculation.
In modern times it would just mean instead of the US messing with everyone you would have New York, Pennsylvania, the territories those states undoubtedly conquered, and Texas if it actually still got independent being as powerful individually as France/GB.
Before someone says I am overestimating the power of states, that is around how powerful and relevant they are irl except for Pennsylvania which I am just guessing that the fact that it could easily conquer the surrounding states and that it is pretty powerful in the first place would make it New York/Texas-tier

You have to really think about the effects of the American revolution in a historical context. If OP just means that the US didn't exist and its modern states were just there then it would just be the Cali/Texas/New York show. If he means NEVER existed then you have weird shit like the French Revolution probably not happening. Without the French Revolution, Europe stays too different to confidently say the USSR would even exist.

There are two big places to prevent the creation of the US/The British Empire effectively becoming the US due to an inevitable shift of power towards the Eastern US due to keeping it, and that is the English just never settling the area or the Constitution failing to pass and the Articles of Confederation collapsing because of it.
I detailed my thoughts on the latter in an earlier post. What I assume it would turn into is New York/Pennsylvania/Southern Power/Texas show.
