Sad truth
>>
I remember 1917 everyday.
>>
Ackshually, the TT has more in common with the Colt Model 1911 than the Model 1908.
>>

Nazi technology was years ahead of the competition, Its not a "sad truth" that the Allies were using their designs after the war. Both the MiG-17 and F-86 are based off a German fighter jet that never flew.
>>
>>56034992
Why sad?
>>
>>56035175
He's implying Nazi and western weapons were overall better than Soviet I think
Something like that

>>
>>56034992
That only whites are capable of innovation? I guess it's pretty sad when you think about it.
>>
>>56035204
Its sad because everyone and especially fatass stormfags think that all of that was invented by russians but in fact russian in 10s-80s was todays china.
America even built all fabrics and dams in russia during 30s soviets hired german engineers before war
>>
>>56035228
What do you think Operation Paperclip was? Why do you think Nazis were the first to mass produce select-fire assault rifles, fighter jets, supersonic medium range ballistic missiles with accurate gyro, on the brink of developing nuclear weapons with the heavy water method and many other scientific innovations all with severely limited resources. They had the most advanced scientific knowledge in the world at the time. I'm not a naziboo, but if they'd won the war I could envisage nazis landing on the moon before the 50s were done. The only people that knew more about anything were the Americans with atomic weapons but that was because they had Einstein and all the money put towards Project Manhattan.
>>
>>56035257
Well that doesn't matter now Kazakhstan we won't likely be using weapons in total wars again anytime soon probably
And is it good if I got a Russian girl in Kazakhstan to call me an asshole on Interpals?

Because if you execute educated people of your country (those who couldn't run to Europe or USA yet) and force the rest to work on very limited things while calcelling most of the education, research and capitalist market opportunities, it is very sad. Meanwhile inventors of helicopters, incandescent lamps and video-recorders were having it it in the USA.

Hitler was pretty dumb after all. He could turn Europe into a super-culture instead of destoying half of it. Damn, he could accomplish his gols economically if he wan't a warmongering shithead who couldn't stop.

No, but the brigade I'm in hasn't deployed for a couple years so I'll probably be going overseas soon. We were supposed to go to the Sinai peninsula this summer but it got canceled.

Waffen-SS didn't have access to Wehrmacht weaponry supply chain until 1943, so they had to settle for either obsolete weapons (like the Gewehr 98M the two guys behind him have), separate contracts (hard to do when the Wehrmacht has first dibs on just about everything) or use captured weapons from occupied countries. Plus anyone with half a brain can make the SVT work reliably, and everybody wants more dakka.

Apparently StG 44s are still in use by Syrian rebels. I didn't know this before today.

>he's still butthurt 26 years later

>>56035316
Being the "first to mass produce" is irrelevant. The Nazis were in a desperate state by the time they went ahead with any of the wonder weapons you mentioned. They needed the silver bullet and Hitler was more than willing to fund pipedreams like the v2 or ho-229. The only weapon you named that likely had any real effect on the war's course was the MP44- which in of itself wasn't a highly technical design. The V2 was probably the best example of German engineering prowess, but overall wasn't an effective weapon. Frankly, I think their rocket technology was the only thing as advanced as the myth presumes.

>on the brink of developing nuclear weapons with the heavy water method

The german nuclear weapons program was far behind the American one from the beginning. Oh and Einstein only provided the theory of relativity, he didn't directly work on the MP.

>fighter jets
The British had jet engine technology first with wittle (even if they poo-pooed him at first). They also had a considerable jet fighter of their own in the Meteor. As for "being ahead" the US flew their first jet prototype with the p-59 in 1942 only 2 months after the Me262 flew it's first under jet propulsion.

Tldr: the nazis were smart, but didn't have a perfect SAT like everyone says
>>
>>56035997
Their execution for a lot of their ideas were terrible too
>jet technology
Useful but Hitler wanted to put them on bombers instead of developing fighter planes
>King Tiger tank
Incredible tank but not what was needed to win the war. Terrible waste of resources, couldn't be made in the quantities the Allied tanks were being produced, etc

>>
>>56036228
No one brought up tanks but the KT is more to my point. All it did was combine a large gun, ludacrisly thick armor combined with a sloped design lacking on the tiger 1. Hard to kill? Maybe. But nothing special from an engineering standpoint. Especially when you consider the fact that the turret wasn't stabilized, and how prone it was to breaking down.

OPs a faggot and has no clue about fundamental orthodox research. Border of real research ends at Belarus. Very west of it. Anything westward lives with an idea of "oh let's make world's first ever all in one". It was USSR than invested heavily into infrastructure, research institutions in 1920, 1930. They developed blueprints. And when Hitler rolled out his fancy toys, guess why they jammed and unglued in the fucking air for no reason? You're welcome
