Get a fake ID. It won't work anywhere that is popular like Vegas, but it will get you booze from gas stations and liquor stores owned by indians. It will also get you into seedy/shitty bars on the outskirts of towns. Don't expect it to work anywhere that is well-to-do. You planned your trip so far out that you should just cancel on Vegas and go to LA + San Francisco or something. There's shit to do for probably 40% of the West Coast, so if you really wanted to you could make your way up to Portland or Seattle (I'm sure that the /pol/ fucks will shit on their cities but they're both interesting and unique with a lot to do) and have a good time too.
Remember too that America is fucking huge and everything is really fucking far away from everything else.
