It should be, but I'm cutting it shorter due to the fact that I started uni at 17, and took summer classes as well as ones during the regular year. So I graduate next spring at 20 with my undergraduate, and then I'll be going straight into a 1 year full time masters in the UK. Generally here you start uni at 18 and graduate at 22.

Where did you even get the information? I guess if your family made an effort to write it down throughout the generations then it would be easy. I would imagine that the only other way would be to dig through church records in remote villages.

Not even. My grandmother died before I was born, and I was able to ask my aunt what my grandmother's mother's maiden name was and through Ellis Island documents I narrowed down the town, and then I found my great-grandparents' marriage record, and then I just kept tracing back through online records. It's not as hard as it sounds.

I know my grandpa's names and my grandma's maiden name, and the villages that some of them were born in, so that's not a problem. I've never had anything come up on those ancestry websites (I actually tried pretty hard because I was supposed to find it for a middle school project once). Honestly, it doesn't really matter to me, I'm more interested in how people manage to do it than actually doing it myself. Though if the information was easily available I would give it a look.
