because in the default game there's no way to customize intersections, and so even if you have a really busy intersection there's no way of actually having a set of lights to allow left-hand turns, let alone a turning lane which cuts into the boulevard in the case of 2-lane roads. And so you're stuck with cars which just cut in front of each other, which slows down traffic by a huge amount. And of course the light only lasts like 5 seconds, so all it takes is for one big vehicle to make a left turn and suddenly you're stuck with a traffic jam.

I am sort of poor/ was shopping in a neighbourhood that has cheaper stores. It's also the part of my city that all the immigrants live. Also wealthy people don't take the train and it's actually somewhat common for people to leave recently stamped tickets at the machine here (I do it too). It's just the first time someone went out of their way to give me theirs so it was really nice.
And Calgary. Our trains are above ground and there's crosswalks and roads with train lines so sometimes there's accidents because people don't pay attention.
