Why does the same word have a completely different meaning in English? What is the literal meaning of Camera in Italian?

Hungarian Parliament

chamber
>>53512177
Ahh that makes sense, because "camera" came from "camera obscura" which can be translated as "dark chamber"

Nothing unusual. Just one deputy of Verkhovna Rada grabs by the balls our prime minister and tried to drag him from the pulpit. Before that, he had given him the flowers. By the way, it's our parliamentary traditions, you can't wholly comprehend this.
And that is our parliament in the rare occasion when there is no fighting.

Yeah it's ugly as fuck but then again I'm glad they didn't spend my tax money on something ridiculous
Up until 1992 the House of Representatives was seated in this room, which was originally a ballroom and then converted it into seating our first House of Representatives in the early 19th century. At first there were only 50 members, but this quickly grow to 150 members and the room was just way too small for that. Each bench had to seat 3 people, kek

Damn... I envy England's capacity to preserve history. Here, a country older than most countries in Europe, self hating morons managed, in the last 200 or so years, to successfully destroy most of our heritage and turn this country into a mere shadow of what it once was, for "progress". Fuck that.
>>53511867

Do you know about how we lost the colonies? The provisional government after the 1974 coup literally gave control of the territories to revolutionary groups in Africa.
>but how about all the portuguese living there?
They lost all their property, were hunted down by niggers, sacked and killed. The ones that managed to escape started their lives in other places, and some of them came to continental Portugal (more than half million) as refugees...
And the awful decolonization process is just the tip of the iceberg that is the terrible management this country has had.
>>53523248
Yes, I'm familiar with the death of Salazar and the Carnation Revolution which couped his successor.
Pisses me off reading about it. Goa infuriates me though.
>They lost all their property, were hunted down by niggers, sacked and killed.
Happened all throughout africa during decolonization. Plus the black africans who supported portugal were pretty much just executed.
>And the awful decolonization process is just the tip of the iceberg that is the terrible management this country has had.
Y-You'll be fine. You're not full of muslims like the rest of Europe.
