There are several hundred thousand Americans of Romani Gypsy descent actually.
They're really well assimilated though. I don't think there are Gypsy crime gangs, and the vast majority don't live transient lives. And most have some non-Gypsy heritage, so they look less Indian than Gypsies in Europe.
