Why do many people in Eastern European countries wear Crosses and pretend to be "Christian" or "Orthodox" but then don't follow the religion in any way and regularly go against what it says?
>Drinking in excess, using drugs
>Having premartial sex without the purpose of procreation
>Dressing like a slut in women's cases
>Fight, use swear words
>Lustful, greedy
Do they do it ironically or do they actually believe they won't go to hell?
I was just thinking about this because I've literally seen pictures on 4chan of Eastern European girls giving blowjobs while wearing crucifix's... Makes no sense tbqh.

Cultural. Christianity. Look it up my photosynthetically gifted friend
>>53124127
But how is it cultural?
You don't just put on a neckalace with a meme cross on it and call yourself a Christian... You actually kind of have to go to Church and follow Jesus' teachings, don't you?

Well, I'm an atheist, but I attend my church every week and so is all my family. I don't think that it's possible to separate Christianity and national cultures in Europe, I mean, at least in those countries that still have some national culture.

It depends on country, Eastern European countries are quite different, see for example how many divorces are in the Czech Republic and in Hungary, then check how many women from these two countries work in porn industry:

It's just that specific aspect seems really retarded.
People on paper consider themselves "Christians" but their lifestyles don't correspond with it in any way.
poor ppl dont have the liberty of western fags doing degenerate things as they wish, you need money for that
so lots of them believe in god but try to be as much of a hedonist as they can afford it

Because mainstream religions are literally just cultural. A sense of belonging. Nothing to do with how closely you follow scripture.
Go into shit like Pentecostal, and other less popular forms of christianity, and you'll have the types you're looking for.

>People on paper consider themselves "Christians" but their lifestyles don't correspond with it in any way.
I don't want to be a methodological-nazi, but it would be nice if you were able to support this kind of thesis using some statistical data.

Look up the religion of people in Poland. >80% consider themselves catholic. Now compare this to people you know. Does a vast majority of people around you go to church every Sunday? Do they refrain from eating meat and partying on Friday?
>>53124019
Thank communism. Religion is either dead or slowly dying in most Eastern European countries

late strong kek
the entire deal about christianity is giving purpose to stupid rednecks that live their lives vicariously. whatever you do in the end it comes down to remembering to be good to others and once in a time ask forgiveness from the lord, after all to sin is a man's work.
"devout" christians are just lunatics with weak psyche that'd latch onto anything else had they been brought up in different cultural circle
Nitpicking those parts of religion that fit their narrative is nothing new. Why else would you think Christianity has broken into so many different schools? It's metaphorical when it collides with your choices in life, but it is gods word when someone else breaks it. Same shit in Islam, Judaism (and I would believe in Asian religions too)

There are about 40% of dominicantes and I would say that these people are quite conservative. Generally speaking it's a very complicated question that requires some serious studies, for example there are many people like Wolniewicz who are atheists but they share conservative values, while there are also many Catholics who are hardcore liberals (eg, "Więź". "Tyg. Powszechny").
This literally applies to every single person who claims to be christian.

And? Christianity is an organized religion, atheism isn't. Christians follow a holy scripture and teachings, atheists don't. Apples and Oranges here.

Why is Ireland such a wonder of a country?

You actually do, as just an accessory.
