oh, it's quite a controversial topic

a lot of people, especially these with low income and doing some small business obviously hate all this process and criticize large companies taking over, I can see it even see it among my acquintances

but for me it's more like a natural process which in the end leads to developement and improvement I think people should accept it, it's not like you can "fight" it anyway, it's happening even in smaller towns
>>
>>53106791
doesn't it cause a problem, though, by displacing many people and additionally making urban areas progressively more inaccessible due to rent hikes?
>>
>>53107010
it will be a bit harsh what I say but its true - always some people will lose because of progress, most of people will benefit, but some, unfortunately lose

like industralization - i.e. it made people suffer or even die because of new diseases, because of pollution but in the end we don't really regret it, we praise it

I think it's kind of next step to evolve our urban areas, and people getting displaced and making it inaccessible for some it's necessary evil

like look at it, these people didn't really have access to all these things before - it may feel unfair but this is at it is, you either follow the stream or you are left behind

after all gentrifications brings increased investments, infrastructure is getting better, new businesses grow, people are getting new jobs and opportunities, everything improves and quality of life is getting better

Mordor here. Overpopulated city, some places are very polluted. Architecture are good basically, if it's not fucking commies, of which consist a large part of the city. Also city is very expensive. In the coming years almost all will get worse.

I love Seattle but I refuse to live there
Traffic is insane. Parking is insane. Construction is insane. Prices are insane. Hipsters are insane.

But god-tier food and nice architecture

And summers in Seattle are GOAT

Depends on whether they actually improve the deprived area, with bigger houses, better utilities, visual improvements, or whether they just jack up the price for everything and call it "Hipster".

The US is lucky to be so flat. Cities in Brazil are complete garbage on hills, you can barely ride a bicycle for more than 1km without having to climb a hundred meters

yeah US is really a lucky country, it got a lot of space to grow and a lot of resources

only parts of the US are flat

Boston used to be pretty hilly but most of the earth was moved to fill in the harbor in order to create more land to build on
