Only GCC would bother to help the Saudi's in any significant manner. Most Sunni countries hate or distrust the Saudi's for any number of different reasons, some even prefer Iran (like Algeria).
The Sunni-Shia muslim-world-split thing is blown out of proportion by western authors who tend to oversimplify the issue, it only really affects the countries around the Persian Gulf.
