Lived in South africa for two years (Cape town) and it wasn't too bad. Some parts of it are pretty awesome but you definately have to have money to enjoy that side of things. Sure there are parts that are pretty first world but often just a few kms down the road you'll have a super poor/ghetto sort of neighborhood. Its really weird driving past a huge ass shopping mall then looking across the highway and seeing squatter camps...

I was originally born in South Africa, the place is a fucking mess, we used to live in a walled community with armed guards just to keep us safe. I ended up leaving when I was 7, I don't miss South Africa that much apart from Afrikaan culture
