They don't have those.

What you want is to go to a diner outside of any big city. If you select right you will get a big and delicious all American breakfast and godly customer service from a good looking blonde country girl with a beautiful smile that will call you all sorts of cute names pet names.

Just make sure to leave a 20% tip or else a curse will fall upon you for the rest of your trip.

I guess Japan is the only one in the world that New Year's Day is the day of special Event.
It seems that the Gregorian calendar regarded as a symbol of modernization generally.
Therefore the people of many countries celebrate the old calendar's day.
Or the monotheism countries have each another period of religion anniversary.

It doesn't really exist here. Sometimes people will round up to the nearest £1 or £5 when paying for pizza or in a restaurant (depending on price) in order not to look cheap, but even that's not universal. People don't tip cab drivers or barbers or hotel staff though.

I tip cab drivers in America when I can afford it and when they've done something they didn't have to. Like make a stop for me, wait for me, or have a nice conversation with me. But if I just get in the cab and get to my destination without causing him trouble or without him going above and beyond in some way, I don't tip

They celebrate Lunar New Year more than New Year.

One calendar was used in Japan from the first breakup of relations with China, one thousand years ago, to 17th centuries.
An ancient calendar loses time little by little.
The calendar of China was changed two times by Mongolia and Jurchen for that period.
The calendar of Japan was changed several times in their hand and they introduced Western calendar each time.
Eventually they introduced the Gregorian calendar and still continues today.

It's not mandatory here at all, cab drivers will always offer change. A lot of people tend to round up though (for example, if your fare is £8.60, a lot of people will just give £10 because they cba with change). It's the same thing with pizza men who come to your door (I'm cheap as fuck, so I always get change, but they don't seem to mind).

I hate a stereotype of Japan for example 'Honne' and 'Tatemae'.
Because the principle of separation of government and religion is 'Tatemae', though Christmas is 'Honne' in West.
I think the agreement of such a stereotype is 'The theories of Japanese cultural'.

Yeah, lots of youngsters (although it's getting obsolete now) use みたいな for absolute no reason, and it carries the connotation of the word 'like' too.
>>
>>52972528
In this context, he means using "like" as a filler
It doesn't mean anything in the sentence; it is only used to fill gaps in thought

In Japanese I think people say ね or さ or なんか

What you are saying is 猫みたいな動物
which also translates to "like" in English, but a different "like"

to be fair, the origin of "like" as filler comes from using it the same way as みたいな

But Japanese has a billion different softeners that they constantly use, so using "like" a lot is more jarring in English.
