It's supposed to be /aucun/, but let's get this thread rolling either way.
What do you cunts think of a federal CANZUK union? It would be the largest country on earth, with loads of natural resources [petroleum, fresh water, wood, agricultural land, fisheries, et cetera], one of the world's strongest economies, populous and entirely developed [except for a few reservations in Australia]. Even better is that it's already part of a union that it can draw into the CANZUK sphere. It could help develop those countries, and absorb them when they're sufficiently developed [the West Indies, Papau New Guinea, Malaysia, South Africa, et cetera] sort of like the EU ascension process.
>capital : Ottawa
You mean Montreal, r8
>>52903915
Montreal is a regional metropolis, it's isn't the capital of anything.

nice thread you have here nerds

Thank you America, you are truly my greatest ally :DD
This is an old idea btw. It's called Imperial Federation and it was very popular in Britain and the settler colonies [Canada, Aus, NZ, South Africa and the West Indies] around the turn of the century. It was the second most popular proposal after total independence for every country and the total disolution of the British Empire.
The Commonwealth grew out of Imperial Federalism, but because of the rise of nationalism, regionalism [african union, european union, pan-americanism] it became a ceremonial organisation.
CANZUK is a 21st century revival of Imperial Federalism and the Commonwealth.

I doubt it will
>>52906949
desu its a very sensible option
we are culturally similar enough for us to generally liek each other
we are already united under the same monarch
freedom of movement and trade agreements between us would be a good idea
this thread sucks
>>52907105
This would be awesome.

It could happen. UKIP's alternative to the European Union is a sort of Commonwealth Union. It's not a popular idea (yet), but there's no real arguement or opposition against it. If you just drum up the hype train it might actually happen. The only thing really standing in the way is European Federalism, which is already disliked and unpopular in the only countries that matter.
>>52907204
>we are already united under the same monarch
not really
The monarchies are independent from each other, but it just so happens that the same person is the monarch
>>52908686
> but it just so happens that the same person is the monarch
What a peculiar coincidence.

I know it's crazy right
