Nigeria has the potential to be a global power and they actually seem to have their shit together.
Obviously, the durkas up north are a massive problem, but the government seems to function quite well and Lagos is surprisingly modern.
The Nigerian standard of living is rising at a breakneck speed, and although structural poverty is a massive problem, Nigeria isn't reliant on foreign food aid and is going to be quite similar to Brazil before long.
Every Nigerian I've met has also been awesome.
