its a big country with a strong individualist culture so you dont have to be social
you can be an active failure, doing bad at work or having trouble with addiction. or a passive failure, not doing anything with your life

All of your failure friends point at worse failures and say, "see at least you're not like him."
there are a lot of degenerate failures but i'm just a failure so it's ok
really not that bad actually. As long as you can support yourself, you don't have to be subjected to social stigma because of our passive-aggressive policy of "dont hurt my feelings".
I'm a complete anime watching loser and still hold a job, go to the card game shop with other human waste and spend my money and time on childrens games and never had anyone say anything to me. I even get laid occasinally.
