I had some issues with depression/really negative thoughts etc and looked into meditation. But I found it difficult to just concentrate on breathing or whatever, so I basically made this up loosely based on what I had learned. It really helped me massively. Might not work for all - but you could try tweaking it - it just needs to be something boring to concentrate on that you can tell if you're losing your place/thinking too much about other stuff.

It's definitely worth a try. Learning to at least partially clear my head was amazing, and has changed my life (to a degree).
