Actually most Motorhead songs aren't that fast, usually the 130-140 bpm range. That's more mid-tempo compared with Metallica, Slayer, and other "fast" metal (Reign In Blood for example is 178 bpm). They did play faster and more at thrash tempo starting in the 90s, but if you'd seen 80s footage of Motorhead, they generally played at the same speed as the records (ie. around 130 bpm).

It is a shame, but realistically Ward lost his ability to play 20 years ago. Even during the reunion tour in the late 90s, he was shit. The classic Sabbath songs are very percussion-heavy and he just doesn't have it in him anymore.
