Pretty safe desu. No real major crimes, only the occasional break in or small time drug dealer arrest.
I live in the most populated suburb in North America and we have like almost no crime.
Yesterday somebody pulled out a gun at the mall during Boxing Day though.

The few crimes that do take place are people snatching handbags from old grannies or some youths smoking marijuana in the park
