Best writers and poets and musicians because the USSR thanks to Stalin had strict cultural repression.
The best scientists some of the best in world history like Kosygin and Korolev were from the USSR.
Also I would argue some of the best artists actually came from the early USSR (Lenin), Tatlin, El Lissitzky, Stenberg Brothers.
