But I'm feeling for you, because living in Asia is very hard for a foreigner to figure out even if he's white, and I have only been able to compensate for that difficulty because of all the advantages of my race. My advice is to take the WEB Du Bois route and just prove to them with your clothing, actions, and linguistic aptitude that you DO deserve their respect and trust. Asian people are very "face value" oriented, and they only believe what's in front of their eyes. Present yourself with confidence and class, and I hope they learn something from you.
