Why do Asians still use ideograms when Westerners have abandoned those in favor of alphabets literally 3000 years ago?

First of all it's not true that every Asian country uses only ideograms, senpai. For instance we have hiragana and katakana as well as kanji.

Each of ideogram and phonogram has pros and cons, so you cannot determine which is superior.
